Kindle For Mac & iPhone/iPod Touch

Here's a secret. If you're having problems downloading / accessing the Amazon Kindle Store - there's a way in! You should probably read this, this and this before proceeding.

When Kindle for Mac came out (finally!) I was really excited, so I clicked on the link in Amazon's notification - and voila - "You cannot use Kindle in Bahrain". I also realized there was a way to change my location - and so I did... to my Indian address. (And all this time, I thought they were checking my IP address).

And what have you... I was able to download Mac for Kindle, and wait... even for Iphone/Ipod as well - oh and also view the Amazon Kindle Book Store! Tried a purchase... and hey! Who needs to buy a Kindle!

Revelation.

(Just go to your account, check the section Digital Content and click on Manage Your Kindle to change the location to some other one like US or India, where Kindle is sold).

The Management Myth: Why the Experts Keep Getting it Wrong

Being an ex-management consultant, I couldn't but help be interested in this book. Read the publisher's note: Stewart (The Courtier and the Heretic) reflects on his unconventional path to becoming a successful management consultant—despite a complete lack of business knowledge or experience, let alone an MBA. He offers an insider's perspective on the industry, revealing the astonishingly high routine consultant fees and the absurdity of leading firms depending on consultants fresh out of school to tell them how to run their business. Following in the footsteps of shamans, consultants envelop their work with an aura of sacred mystery and outrageously unjustified levels of self-confidence to add to their perceived expertise. Gleefully revealing the magician's tricks, Stewart takes readers on a whirlwind tour of how this industry came to be a powerhouse. Filled with fascinating insider anecdotes and featuring a who's who in the consulting world, including Peter Drucker, Michael Porter and Bruce Henderson, this wry, absorbing book will enlighten executives about the value consultants actually bring to their clients.

How Do You Read?

I'm a voracious reader. However, I have one question: Would you prefer paper to screen?

Would you enjoy a book better if it were on a few dead trees or a few electrons? Would it make a difference if you saved the trees in this world? What would you do if your electronic device ran out of battery power? Would you be able to fall asleep reading, without worrying about crushing the screen? Would you be able to save space in your home? What are you doing? Are you using an iPhone or Kindle or Sony eReader?

Ok, so that wasnt one question. But you get the drift... to those bookworms out there, help this fellow decide!
