High Touch vs High Tech
How's your social life? I mean the real one.
Unfortunately, the answer to that will tell you a lot about which category you're in - Hi Touch or Hi Tech. If you're my age, then you're a GenXer and grew up with the internet...
When was the last time you really had a good real-life conversation? Friends, Family, Neighbours - do you have someone to talk to?
It's sad to see that what technology was supposed to do, is actually doing the opposite - it doesn't free your time - it now consumes it. You're supposed to be productive, but now you're glued to twitter, facebook, linkedin and every form of stream out there. Pitty.
It's easy to make a comment - you're faceless, you can say anything you like. Try flaming someone in real life. See his or her facial expression when you make a comment that is just short of degrading them. And you'll understand the human factor.
If you're reading this... I wish you'd take at least one day off - get out and about, meet people - just stay away from that screen! I promise you'll be happier!
